Hafsah (ra), a pious lady an offspring of Mujahideen

Hafsah (ra) was an extremely religious lady who used to spend her time in prayer and fasting

Seven of her family members were from amongst the warriors of Badr: Her father, Umar bin Khatab

Her Paternal Uncle, Zaid bin Khatab
Her Husband, Khanes bin Hathafah
Three of her mother’s brothers: Uthman bin Maz’oon, Qudamah bin Maz’oon, and
Sa’id bin Abdullah bin Maz’oon

Hafsah’s (ra), noble qualities

Five years before the Prophet (saw) was chosen to be messenger of Allah (saw), the renovation of the Ka’bah took place, then the Prophet (saw) was 35 years old.
When it came to the point to placing the Blackstone of the Ka’bah he (saw), was given the honor
He, (saw), stunned the people by asking for a large sheet; placing the Blackstone in the center of the sheet and asking each of the chiefs to hold the edges of the sheet and raise it. He, (saw), himself then picked it up and placed it in the nitch of the wall.
Thus, a thorny issue was very simply yet brilliantly resolved. It was during this time that Hafsah, (ra), was born in the family of a great warrior and wrestler, Umar bin Khatab (ra)
The birth of Hafsah, (ra)

Hafsah (ra), was thus born in the family of Umar Ibn Khatab
In her growing years, Hafsah (ra), was brought up in a completely Islamic environment, both her parents and her aunt and uncles having already converted to new religion
When she was old enough her parents married her.
